It is my pleasure to recommend Joseph Andreo as a candidate for the Scout Executive’s position. Joe will bring the energy, passion and leadership required to excel in the role of Scout Executive.
My name is Charles Flowers, former Scout Executive of the Connecticut Yankee Council. As such, I had the opportunity to bring Joseph Andreo into the professional realm of Scouting when I hired him to join our team. I worked directly with Joe on a daily basis, as we sought to raise the needed operational, capital and endowment funds for our council.
Joe served admirably as my Director of Development. Under Joe’s leadership and guidance, the council remodeled its Service Center, rebuilt the Fund Development Committee and conducted a dozen special events including several ‘Good Scout’ Dinner events on an annual basis. He has a strong successful background in staff development, volunteer recruitment and leadership. The Connecticut Yankee Council’s fundraising teams and other key Board level volunteers have benefitted from his drive, focus, and strategic thinking. Joe is dedicated to building a culture of accountability.
Additionally, he exhibits a strong work ethic and is considered reliable and conscientious. Lastly, he listens well and demonstrates a willingness to deal directly and promptly with issues.
Therefore, based on his leadership and work ethic, I recommend Mr. Joseph Andreo for the Scout Executive position.
