Ladies and Gentlemen:
I recently learned that Connecticut Yankee Council’s COO Joe Andreo is a candidate for a Scout Executive position at Housatonic Council. I enthusiastically support his candidacy for a variety of reasons.
As the former VP Development for Connecticut Yankee Council, I’ve worked closely with Joe over the past six years on all aspects of our Council’s fundraising activities.
During that time, I’ve found him to be an experienced Scouter, a passionate staffer and most importantly a “doer”, willing to personally do whatever is necessary to accomplish the task at hand.
Joe also has an extensive network of fellow Scouters at the Region, Area and National levels and strong networking and relationship management skills developed over many years of working in finance.
From a Development perspective, Joe created, implemented, and managed an expanded and profitable lineup of Special Events that helped our Council raise critical funding over several years during a time of declining FOS donations.
In summary, I am confident that Joe Andreo can be a successful Scout Executive given his background, experience, and willingness to take on all of the challenges facing Scouting today.
